Solar energy can be used for virtually any source of energy you need. For example, solar panels can be used to store solar energy that is then converted into energy to heat a home, to provide electricity and it can be used as fuel for vehicles to move on. Solar energy works in many ways and in many forms because it is easily changed from one to the next.

In just 20 days of sunshine, you would have enough energy to surpass all of the energy that is currently stored in all of the planets reserves of natural gas, coal and oil combined. Sunlight is equal to about 1,000 watts per square meter at noon.

Buying and installing solar panels is often the first step in the process. These are used to convert stored energy into a usable home.
